To obtain Cat. B, you are required by law to complete a minimum number of theory and practical hours. For theory, you must attend 12 basic lessons and 2 additional lessons — 14 topics in total. For practical training, you must complete 5 cross-country drives, 4 motorway and expressway drives, and 3 night drives. The number of practical driving hours needed depends on several factors such as motor skills, technical understanding, traffic experience, and prior experience at a driving practice area — averaging between 16 and 20 hours. “Regular” students typically need a few more hours than our intensive course students.
